MOOS 2007 / WSS 3.0 Site Usage Report
I have enabled the Usage Analysis Processing, did a munual run of the Timed Jobs to get the Usage Analysis to kick in (it did), everything seems to be in order but when I go to Site Settings > Site Usage Report I get the following:A usage report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data for this site has not processed yet. There is has been usage so a report should be available, however, log file is empty. Any ideas?

There is no SPS 3.0.Do you mean MOSS 2007 (the third version in the line that starte with SPS 2001 and went on to SPS 2003) or WSS 3.0 (the only SP product with 3.0 in the name)?WSS FAQ sites: http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com and http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com Total list of WSS 3.0 / MOSS 2007 Books (including foreign language) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/Lists/v3%20WSS%20FAQ/V%20Books.aspx

It's MOSS 2007... not MOOS ;-)Anyways, it doesn't look like your logs are set up properly which is why you aren't getting anything for your report.Check here to make sure everything is set up properly: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262541.aspxThe logs should appear pretty soon once enabled so you should tell if it is working properly.SharePoint's green status ball of doom...

Apperantly there is something missing on my MOOS (sounds better then MOSS), I actually have that article printed and the problem is that I don't have the ability to do the following because there is no Office SharePoint Usage Reporting selection: On the Central Administration page, click Shared Services Administration, and then click the default Shared Services Provider. On the Shared Services Provider home page, under Office SharePoint Usage Reporting, click Usage reporting. On the Configure Advanced Usage Analysis Processing page, under Processing Settings, click the Enable advanced usage analysis processing check box. In the Search Query Logging section, click the Enable search query logging check box. Click OK. I'm signed as the admin and get the same when accessing SharePoint 3.0 Central Admin at the server.

You might not have MOOS then. You should get some reporting but less then if you have it.In Central Administration > Operations > Usage Analysis Processing - make sure the logs are appearing in the log file location. To see if you have MOOS, go toCentral Administration > Operations > Convert License Type. What do you see as Current License type?SharePoint's green status ball of doom...

I don't have MOOS? No way! I'm sure you figured out by now that 1) I'm new to SharePoint and 2) I inherited from the person who installed it, who is no longer around.Anyway, Convert License Type shows: Current License - InfoPath Forms Services on 1st line, Enter Product Key on 2nd line.I do see the MOOS server file, with SharePoint 3.0 Central Admin and SharePoint Products and Technologies Config tools on server, do think maybe the product key for the MOOS was never entered therefore some features are not present?

I don't think you have MOOS activiated. Just enter theproduct key if you have it to convert license type. :)SharePoint's green status ball of doom...
