I just installed Sharepoint to gain acces to to its OCR tools. When I went to scan a document MODI cannot find my scanner, which is a HP officejet 6500. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated. I am currently using Win7 and office 2007.

Which SharePoint version are you asking about and especially which OCR tools (as afaik MOSS 2007 doesn't have such a thing included with the product) P.S. Thanks Mike for your quick response. This application was downloaded with Sharepoint 2007. I was looking for an OCR program and I found a link on the Interent that said that MS offered a decent one with Sharepoint so I thought I would give it a try. I have also noticed another program I am trying will not recognize the scanner as well. All programs seem to recognize the printer portion fo the device just not the scanner. The native software for the HP device works fine, Just seems all other programs are having difficulty identifying. In addition this does seems to be a new issue, never has a problem with this before.
