MDT 2012 RTM on SCCM 2007 SP2 R2 with SQL 2005
I have a SCCM 2007 SP2 R2 with SQL 2005 SP3 environment and I'm trying to determine if I can integrate/run MDT 2012. Microsoft may not officially support that, but does it work? In the "What's New in MDT Guide.docx" for the RTM release of MDT 2012, it states on the bottom of page 9 that "MDT has been tested and verified to work with Configuration Manager 2007 R3. MDT should work with Configuration Manager 2007 with SP2 and later, as well, but this has not been tested or verified." There is nothing in the "What's New" document about SQL though. However, the Release Notes state that "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 with Cumulative Update (CU) 4 or SQL Server 2008 SP2 with CU6" is required for Zero Touch Installation (ZTI) deployments. Does MDT 2012 actually require SQL 2008 or just now officially have support for SQL 2008? *There is a duplicate to this post on the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit forum; no one has replied yet.

That's what I was thinking, but the docs made it appear otherwise. As always, better to test in a lab first than to assume it will work in production! :) Thanks for the quick reply, John.
