Can someone point me to the documentation that explain the purpose and usage of the the .wsf scripts in MDT 2010?

use the link provided by PaddyMaddy, most of the scripts are used for MDT steps, for example ZTIGather.wsf is used by the MDT Gather Step, and ZTIGather.wsf depends on vbs scripts included in your MDT scripts directory <script language="VBScript" src="ZTIUtility.vbs"/> <script language="VBScript" src="ZTIDataAccess.vbs"/> why do you want to call/use the scripts as a matter of interest ?
