Lync 2013 Mobile Client cannot search contacts in organization

Hello everyone!

We have Lync in migration process from 2010 to 2013.

We have some pilot user accounts in new 2013 pool.

FE2010, FE2013 (external web services), EGDE2010 are published to external network.

Autodiscover DNS records are pointed to Lync 2010 Servers from internal and external networks.

All works fine for 2010 users and also for 2013 pilot users.

Except searching in Lync 2013 mobile client for pilot users.

IIS Logs report something like this: GET /ucwa/v1/applications/21950436695/people/search query=mrbrown&limit=20 4443 mrblack@domain.com 192.168.190.250 ACOMO - 500 0 0 30038

Little strange that new (not migrated) users in Lync 2013 pool can do any searches in mobile without any problems.

We also have Exchange 2013 CU7. And strange thing number 2 happens if:

- disable pilot user's mailbox in exchange

- disable this user in Lync 2013

- re-enable user in Lync 2013

- and search now works in lync mobile client

Strange thing nubmer 3: connecting user mailbox back break this and search doesn't work again.

All last Lync CUs are installed for 2010 and 2013.

Hi,

Did you enable UCS for the users homed in Lync Server 2013 Pool?

If yes, please try to disable it and then test again.

Thanks for reply

Done. No changes...

Get-CsUserServicesPolicy | Set-CsUserServicesPolicy -UcsAllowed $false
Get-CsUser -Filter {RegistrarPool -eq "lync2013pool.domain.com"} | Invoke-CsUcsRollback
