Lotus Notes 8.x support
Is there support for Lotus Notes 8 and later in FIM 2010? If not, are there any plans to support this in the near future or any coming Service Packs? A lot of my customers are asking for this? I've tried convincing them to move to Exchange, but no luck so far; therefore, upgrades of the Lotus Notes MA would be greatly appreciated.

No, Lotus Notes 8.x is not supported.MA updates are driven by demand. If support of 8.x is important to you, please file a bug. Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Knowledge Engineer, Microsoft Corporation

ILM/FIM will not work with Lotus Notes v8+ clients. IBM has changed the underlying API that was used by Lotus Notes MA to connect to Domino/Notes through the clients. Right now, the only way to connect to a Lotus Notes v8+ is to use a Lotus Notes v4 - v7 client to point back to the Domino 8 server. However, YMMV in terms of what v8 features, if any, you can provision to. As Markus has indicated, there doesn't seem to be any short-term plans for Lotus Notes 8 support. If you really need to support Lotus Notes 8 and all its features, you may have to consider building an ECMA using the Lotus Notes Admin APIs to connect FIM to Notes.Marc Mac Donell, ILM MVP, VP Identity and Access Solutions, Avaleris Inc.

Thanks for the answers guys; had hoped for greater news though; seems a long way away for my customers. I'll have to look into written my own MA as I've done with SAP CUA and other systems. For now it seems that my customers will have to settle with a Notes 7.x client connecting to a Notes 7.x server which then replicates with the rest of the Notes infrastructure. Seems a shame though, that ILM/FIM being the integration product it is by nature, that the build-in MA's are not up kept up-to-date. (dont get me wrong - I'm an Exchange / Outlook guy since birth :-))
