Lost rights for users and admins
After lunch yesterday, I discovered that no one could create any new pages in our MOSS 2007 intranet. Creating sites is working just fine. All admins, except for one called wss_sys also can't create pages. The weird part is that when I look at the user rights for the whole site, they are all as before. All the admins have full control and the rest have everything from read to contribute. Our server is not in English, so finding helpful info is kind of hard. Had some hope in that the SQL server 2008 was creating the problem, but that one seems to be doing just fine. Any help is appreciated. Hi Olderdalen, Have you got any error messages (like Access Denied) when you failed to create a page? If you get Access Denied error when you create page using page layouts, please ensure users have permission on Master Pages and Page Layouts galley in top level site. If this didn’t help, please go to http://server/_layouts/user.aspx page of that site > Settings > Permission Level > Check each permission level you want to it allowed to create pages but meet this problem > Ensure Add and Customize Pages under Site Permissions had been selected. If the problem still persisted, please check ULS logs and event logs, or provide the logs to us so that we can do more research on it. Thanks & regards, Emir
