Looking for advice on how to update a video driver on about 200 computers.
I have a bad video driver on about 200 of my Dell systems, when the monitor goes to sleep it doesn't come out of sleep mode, and you must physically unplug the monitor and plug it back in to get it to comeback to life. I created a driver package of the updated intel video driver which is said to address this very issue, I am wondering do I need to add the drivers to the driver database as well in order to be able to deploy this driver to my affected systems? Thanks for any help or advice it is always much appreciated.

In SCCM 2007 you don't need to import the drivers. It works find with just a driver package. But you need a way to deploy the driver, driver packages works only when you deploy an OS.

If you have imported the other drivers then the answer to the first question should be yes. For the second question, you can either create a package or use SCUP with the Dell catalog to deploy the updated driver.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: blog.coretech.dk/kea and SCUG.dk/ | Twitter: @Agerlund | Linkedin: Kent Agerlund | Mastering ConfigMgr 2012 The Fundamentals

I did not know driver packages only work when you deploy an OS?, if this is the case, then I have to find a way to deploy the driver unattended silently via command line? is this what you are saying? I have never used SCUP how hard would is this to do?
