Hi, A hot backup could be interpreted in a few different ways. Could you please explain what your goals are? What is it you wish to achieve? Jason Warren Infrastructure Specialist Habanero Consulting Group habaneroconsulting.com/blog

We developed a SharePoint site. Since the code is not strong enough, our application always has unexpected issue, like performance, high memory and crash. We want failover when these issue happed. Thanks, Yuanpeng

I would seriously consider addressing the weak code. If you're looking to create a failover, you'll still be populating this with your weak code and will not address the issue. Morning Yuanpeng, I see you've unmarked the answer by Vijo, presumably because the link is referring to 2010. While some of the priniciples are the same for 2007 I would suggest you take a look at Joel Olsens article on SharePoint Backup Restore, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery for 2007.Paul Turner http://redmanta.co.uk/blog Twitter: @RedMantaUK MCTS:WSS,MOSS,2010 MCITP:2010.
