Long delay before updating virtual machines status to stopped when shutdown from virtual machines operating system

After I updated vmm to update rollup 7, I noticed that there is very long delay before updating virtual machines status to stopped on vmm when I shutdown virtual machine from virtual machines operating system. If I shutdown machine from vmm-console, virtual machines status is updated much faster to stopped.

Is there some change in UR7 about how often virtual machines status is updated and is it possible to adjust it?

Kind regards,

Hi Sir,

>>I noticed that there is very long delay before updating virtual machines status to stopped on vmm when I shutdown virtual machine from virtual machines operating system

Around 2 minutes ?

This issue doesn't arise with UR6 ?

I have read the article below regarding refresher in VMM 2012 SP1 (I also tried to shutdown VM in my lab VMM 2012R2 UR6 , the VM state should be changed quickly in VMM ):

"
This refresher is turned off for Hyper-V hosts that are capable of supporting WMI eventing.

For system that does not support eventing, we fall back to the System Center 2012 behavior (2 minutes refresher model). But the overall VMM scale support will also fall back to System Center 2012 RTM level.

I also find the article regarding WMI eventing :

Based on this , I would suggest you to restart WMI service then check the WMI repository healthy state :

" winmgmt /verifyrepository "
