For Web Server : 8 Application Pools in IIS ( Recommeded Web Server) 1 Application pools : how many web application i can create? <-- Need to Find out. 1 Web Application : Support up to 50,000 Site Collection ( But it will go to on Content Database size), ?? Content Database. <-- need to find out So recommendation or Best Practises (Real World Scenario) is : We have 2 Web Front End Server and 2 Sql Server (Cluesterd SQL server) I need to create 2000 Site collection Each Region (10 Region) for Entire Enterpirse for intranet applicaiotn. total 20,000 Site Collection. 1 web application : 1 Content database size = 150 GB, Each Site Collection has = 2GB Storage, So as per above scenario and calculation in Real World scenario. 1 web application : 75 site collecion per 1 content database.
