Localization for Password Reset Questions
Is there an option anywhere for this? I would like to have the questions presented in multiple languages.Joe Stepongzi - Identity Management Consultant - ILM MVP - www.microsoftIdM.com,ilmXframework.codeplex.com

Andreas answered this a week or so ago. You need to define different sets of users based on country/language/whatever and then define different MPR's and QA gates for each set of users. -Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy, Seems like alot configuration for such a typical task. I would have rather had it depending on what their localization is set to. Joe Stepongzi - Identity Management Consultant - ILM MVP - www.microsoftIdM.com,ilmXframework.codeplex.com

Right, The problem is that many of the questions don't translate or don't havea corresponding meaning in another country. -Jeremy

Totally understand, would just be nice if we could provide multiple questions in different languages and based upon the local language would be much nicer.. but I fully understand why it's difficult. Actually it's really not that difficult to config if you already have a SSPR deployment using the default MPR First, you should really understand what each MPR does and why we need them (u can refer to part 3 of my blog) For you scenario, you need the following Create "Set 1" to "Set N" Create "AuthNWF 1" to "AuthNWF N" Create "MPR 1" to "MPR N" each is a clone of "Anonymous users can reset password" add Set1-n, AuthNWF 1-n and MPR 1-n to "Password Reset Objects Set" Do the following: disable the default MPR "Anonymous users can reset password" (users not in Set 1 to N will not be able to reset pwd)

Thats not the problem I have with the setup. My concerns are what happens if a user happens to be in the wrong set? - There going to get the wrong language.. So we must make sure the sets are checked quite a bit. Will require alot reconciliation to make sure we can seperate them properly. At my current client, I really have no idea how or even if these users can be seperated easily. Another major concern is what if a person goes from one country to another? Will there questions and answers work the same?? What if you moved to a different country, say from the USA to Germany, your settings are set english, but now all of your questions are German. Looks like a crash course in German is needed... lol The setup is pretty easy, it just seems more like a workaround then a true fix. The localization should be the true identifier of what language should be chosen.Joe Stepongzi - Identity Management Consultant - ILM MVP - www.microsoftIdM.com,ilmXframework.codeplex.com
