Local over Wifi,
My Windows 7 Professional Laptop is connected to my works Network by both Wifi and Local (Lan) connection, it is Dhcp on both connections and both are on the same domain (172.117.0.106 local - 172.117.0.129 wifi) same gateways and dns, I have several Plc's
on the network (172.117.0.xxx) and recently some of them I can only access using my wifi connection, which means when I try to communicate with some of them my connection times out, I have to disconnect my Lan cable and then connect using the wifi, this has
only started recently I used to have full access whichever connection I used, I can not see why there is any difference, the wifi is an access point connected into the same network as my lan cable, Can anyone please offer any suggestions or remedies. thanks
in advance.

Do you have enough free ip addresses leases available in your DHCP scopes ?
Any errors in your event view logs ?

Hi,
You may try to use below commands to get a new IP address:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Please post the error messages or related event logs here if you still cannot get an IP address.

What status showing while pinging ?
1). Check your firewall.
2). Check your antivirus.
3). Check your system ip is set to automatic and see whether the ip is in same range.

Sorry for the delay in replying to your questions, as I put in my original posting both the Lan and wifi are dhcp, automatic Ip and dns etc; and after connecting obtain ip's in the same range, (172.117.0.106 local - 172.117.0.129 wifi) if I ping one
of my plc's (172.117.0.181) I get no response but I can ping another Plc (172.117.0.185) that is next to it and connected to the same network switch, If I disconnect my Lan cable I can now ping both of the Plc's, I have tried flushing, releasing and renewing
my ip but no change, when I do a route trace via wifi it goes from my {laptop - server - plc} and through lan {laptop - server - }, there are plenty spare ip's on our network and there are no duplications, I have internet access on both connections,
I am currently Not running a firewall or antivirus, they have been disabled. I am at a loss as to why this is happening, it has only been this way for about a month, I have changed nothing but used to connect to all nodes on wifi or lan?

Try to disable ip/v6 on your network adapter and in your wireless router. I am not sure whether it will work try and when it is not solved try
to boot in Safe mode with networking and try lan is working.
