Hello All...........Which roles of Lync Server 2013 and it related components (Reverse Proxy) can be managed through hardware load balancers?

I am confused with respect to DNS Load Balancing and Hardware Load Balancing.  I have read that at on some components DNS Load Balancing can work, but some component can only provide Load Balancing if there is Hardware Load Balancer.  So, I would appreciate if someone could list me components and their respective supported load balancing method such as

Lync FE                DNS/HLB

Lync Edge             HLB

OWAS                  WINDOWS NLB/HLB

and so on........
