hi all need some expertise here for some reasons my administrator changed username "domain\username" to "domain\user", this led to a lot of problems could open central admin page and home page of our site but could not access Lists regards, mark

are your lists inheriting permissions from root site? If unique permissions, adding the new domain\user appropriately may help. I remember this similar issue getting resolved once for me when i did a full profile import.
