List of PROCESSES and RULES to exclude with ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 R3 when using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise and McAfee Host Intrusion Protection
I'm aware of the published (in ConfigMgr Documentation and KB articles) listing of ports, files, and folders to exclude for AV products, however, McAfee can also be used to exclude processes (things that run all over, not in just one folder, i.e., inventory or scanning programs), and, not sure that anything particularly addresses Host Intrusion Protection exclusions. In addition to processes, there are "rules" that each product uses (like, for instance, don't run stuff from a REMOTE system in System32, etc.). Is there a published listing of processes and rules that need to be excluded? Thanks.

What wrong with the Torsten's link ? All that you need is there ! MS does not provide a step by step guide around MCAFEE and ConfigMgr, you should work alone or with MCAFEE support to apply the MS recommandation. Personnaly I have customers who used MCAFEE and we just used that link and it works well.Bechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/bgharbi/ | Time zone : GMT+1
