Links to Indvidual CRM Records in Report do not appear activated
We have a report in CRM 4.0, which contains several sub-reports. The main report also has buttons with links to a few other external (not sub) reports and each of those have sub-reports. When clicking on a link to another report and then drilling down to a sub-report which displays hyperlinks to indvidual CRM entity records - all works fine and the CRM record can be opened and viewed. The same report in CRM 2011 (SSRS 2008 R2) works equally well up to the point where the final sub-report of the external report, which was called from the main report is trying to display a hyperlink to individual CRM records. In this case the hyperlink is there but it is not clickable (no hand shows on the link) and therefore the CRM record cannot be opened or displayed. When opening the external report by itself and accessing the relevant sub-report that displays links to individual CRM records everything works fine. Below is a quick synopsis of the issue, which only occurs in our CRM 2011 environment Scenario 1 (The issue) 1. Run Report A 2. From Report A, click on link that runs Report B 3. From Report B click on relevant area that runs a sub-report to Report B 4. Sub-Report displayed has links to individual CRM records. Hyperlink appears to be there but it is not 'active' . Scenario 2 (For Comparison) 1. Run Report B (bypassing the use of Report A) 2. From Report B click on relevant area that runs a sub-report to Report B 3. Sub-Report displayed has links to individual CRM records. They are active, clickable and doing so opens up the relevant CRM record. Any ideas what could be causing this type of behavior or something I could check and verify? Thank you, RT

Hi Rdtruitt, Based on my resaerch, in CRM, it may encounter problems to display a report that has subreports shown/hidden by toggles. At this time, I suggest that you use nested tablix instead of subreport in the Report B and check the result. Additionally, in the subreports of Report B, are the hyperlinks created by "Go to URL" action or HTML style content? If the former, you can create palcehoders to display the HTML content to create the hyperlinks, vice versa. For more information, please see: Importing HTML into a Report If the issue persists, I suggest that you send me the report .rld files to sqltnsp AT Microsoft.com (Please replace AT with @) or upload the .rdl files to skydrive.live.com so that we can make further analysis and help you out.
