Links in Alert email
Is there a way to update the URL's provided in the Alert Email template.
We have a few discussion boards that were created and customized by an external company, whenever users are notified that a reply has been made the links for "Modify my alert settings", "View...", "View Discussion Board" etc in the email are all pointing
to the external companies URL.
Without recreating the discussion boards is there a way to reset the URL's? I opened the AlertTemplate.xml file and found the values are for "alerts_link_modify" with a URL of MySubsURL. Is there a way I can update the value of MySubsURL?
Thanks,
mThanks, Manish

Hi,
I am not sure which customizations are done by the external company.
From your post, I think they didn’t change the Alert Email template.
Can you check it as following?
1.
Create new discussion board
2.
Create new alert for this discussion
3.
Do some changes and check email
I guess they are using the event handle to send an email.
If it’s not your case , please let me know
Hope this helps
Thanks!
