Linked reports sync with base changes?
I haven't used Linked reports a ton, but I was under the assumption that a linked report would stay in sync with the base report if the base report changed any definitions or formatting? Is this true? I tried to do this and the linked report didn't reflect changes to the base. Is there something possibly cached? Just looking for confirmation and what might be happening.

Hi Jbusselman, You are correct, a linked report is derived from an existing report and retains the original's report definition. A linked report always inherits report layout and data source properties of the original report. But some properties and settings can be different from those of the original report, including process option, security, location, subscriptions, and schedules, so you can set report execution and report history properties that vary from those set on the original report. To this scenario of yours, I would recommend you have a check to the linked report to make sure its process option is not from cache but live data.
