I created a list that has a form that franchise users fill out to register for conferences. I would like for the link to open the "New Item" page instead of going to the list and causing the user to have to click "New Item". I normally just don't show the list in the quick launch and create a link directly to the new item page, but this time, it's not working. The URL is 271 characters long, and it will not all fit in the field for the hyperlink. Any suggestions? ---EDIT--- Tiny URL will work for this, but is it a safe alternative?

TinyURL or similar will work fine (and is safe).
