Line chart: no result displayed when there is only 1 point along x-axis
SSRS 2005, My report has a chart type line. I would like to ask the following: along the x axis ther is only 1 value: the result is that I can not see any line/point in the chart. In this situation I am expecting at list 1 point made up by the intersection between x and y value. Any help will be very appreciated.

You may want to try (not sure if this would be an option) but to do a bar char, then from there you can add a trend line. so you will still have your line chart at the top of the bars to see a trend, and if there is only one value, you can have the bar show up for the one value.

EDIT: Or are you already using a "line with makrers" graph instead of just a "line" graph? The line with markers graph should include markers even if there is only one data point.

Oh man, sorry fasttrack, i apologize i didn't see you were using SSRS 2005. I've only used 2008 before (not even R2). Either way. After you have your data in the proper positions in the chart you shoud be able to click on the lines in the sample chart and hit "Series Properties" From there, there should be a Markers option. You need to Turn this on and to whatever shape you want (eg. square, circle, triangle, etc) Doing this i believe you should be able to have a visible point on your graph even when there is only one value. Hope this helps!

Hi fasttrack, As discussed above, if there is only 1 value along the X axis, we need to add marker to the line chart to show it. In Reporting Services 2005, please refer to the steps below: 1. Right click the chart and select Properties. 2. In the Chart Properties windows, select the Data tab. 3. Select [Value] in the Values list, then click Edit. 4. In the Edit Chart Value window, select the Appearance tab. 5. Check the option Show markers.
