Line Height does no apply to PDF Export
Hi,
I have recently realized that Line Height property for text boxe in SSRS2008 , does not apply to the pdf exported. Is it possible to have line spacing different from the default one when exporting the report into PDF?
Many thanks,
Vahid

Hi Vahid,
Sorry for the delay.
You are right that the LineHeight property is ignored when exporting a report to PDF format. Actually, the LineHeight property only affects when we use the HTML rendering format.
To work around this issue, you can use the Space() function before/after the target element in the expression like:
=space(10) & Fields!FieldName.Value & space(10)

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply! As a workaround you have suggested to put space after or before the text. Just to clarify the issue my problem is that the line spacing between multiple lines could not be set and putting spaces after or before the text would not help
me to fix that. Would you please explain a bit your solution?
In addition, isn't there any way to change the default PDF rendered for the SSRS or overrite some of its behaviour in order to apply this setting?
Many thanks,
Vahid

Hi Vahid,
Thanks for your posting.
Currently, there is no approach to enable the LineHeight property for the rendering extensions except HTML. Thanks for your understanding.
Here, I would like to explain that adding space before/after the text can also change the line height. Moreover, the space function doesnt affect when we use the HTML format. You can see the comparisons from the screenshot below:
