Limits of SharePoint Groups that can be created
Context: Creating a large site(single site collection, 25K subsites in that) for our customers/partners. Requirement is that each subsite would have its own set of users & hence a SharePoint user group specific for the subsite needs to be created a) Are there any limits on number of SharePoint user Groups that can be created ( we are talking at 25000 groups) b) Any performance issues you foresee with such granular permissions ( ie. each site having its own permissions). ( Note, that there is no or minimal permission inheritance in the site)

I dont think so that 25000 user groups will create problem but those are very difficult to maintain. This site is already said, we can have 2 million users per Web site so why cant we have 25000 groups. I would suggest you to go with same.Cheers, Hemendra-MCTS
