Hi There,
We are currently evaluating Windows 10 within our organisation. One thing that is of particular concern is the limited group policy options for the Microsoft Edge Browser.
At present there appears to only be 10 policy options for this browser providing such functionality as control of popups and compatibility settings etc. However, there is no option to force a particular website to be the browser's home page.
In many organisations it is standard practice to have the Company's Intranet site be the mandatory homepage for client devices. With Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge, this does not appear to be possible without manual intervention on each device. There are ways around it by forcing IE to be the default browser etc and obviously this is a brand new browser but given that the install process does set Edge to be the default browser, it would be advantageous to have a greater degree of administrative control over the browser. ( IE itself has well over 1500 policy options so it seems a bit ridiculous that it's replacement has less than 1/100 of this number).
Can anyone advise is this is something that will be rectified in future releases?
