Limitation Active Directory System Discovery
Hi Carsten,
I think your colleague is mixing some information and numbers. There is a limit on 25k for a single Management Point, not for AD.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

I have never heard of such a limit. I'd ask him to point to that in the official docs. This page does mention that network disovery is reccomended to be limited to 5000 per run. I would assume if there was a limit for AD discovery that would also be mentioned
here.

Hi to all,
we want to setup a Active Directory System Discovery in a very huge environment (90.000 Seats) at the Central Site Server for the whole environment. Now a colleague comes around the corner and said, that within SCCM2007 SP2 Microsoft supports only 25.000
seats per Active Directory System Directory discovery.
Is this true? If yes, so could you explain you best practise for discover clients in a huge environement? If no , what should i consider.
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Carsten

Hi Kent, Hi John,
thanks for your feedback . I only remember the limitation, which Kent explain for MP but never heard for AD. So again thanks for your time to answer.
Best regards
Carsten
