License Entitlement For SCE under Action Pack Subscription
Hoping someone can clarify this for me. Under the Action Pack contents, the following is listed for SCE: Number of Licenses: 10 Number of CALs: n/a I'm currently in a discussion with the Microsoft Action Pack Subscription support team, but it is slow going getting a definative answer and I really need to clear this up before I go ahead with my implementation. Basically, I'm looking for confirmation of how many of the following I am entitield to under MAPS: Essentials 2007 Server License Essentials 2007 Server Management License Essentials 2007 Client Management License Action pack contents listing is here: https://partner.microsoft.com/40013779 Thanks in advance Mr Quantic

Hi Yog Li, Thanks for your response. I have contacted Microsoft Customer Support in my country as you have advised, although they then directed me to the MAPS licensing team who I already have an ongoing case open with. I called the MAPS team anyway to obtain an update on my case but they have no further information since escalting my query over a month ago. Their 'best guess' was that under MAPS the SCE entitlement is as follows: Essentials 2007 Server License - 0 Essentials 2007 Server Management License - 0 Essentials 2007 Client Management License - 10 If that were the correct entitlement, I would need to purchase a retail copy of SCE in order to gain a server license in order to utilise the 10 client management licenses that MAPS entitles me too - something that seems absurd and which I highly suspect it to be otherwise. It is this 'slow going' that has lead me to asking my question on this forum, to perhaps gain the insight of someone who has installed SCE from MAPS. thanks Quantic
