License 15A Report_ Wrong Counts

Hi,

For Some of the sofware's something like PL/SQL Developer the License 15A Report is giving "difference" count as 0 even i have entered the correct license counts in license .csv file..

i am able to see the installed counts When i am checking on Asset Inteligence> Inventoried Software but it's not getting reflected in License 15A Report..

For most of the software's the count is matching and accurate also against inventoried software...

can anyone guide me..

Well i add this append to me a while ago. The issue was that what SCCM was showing in the asset intelligencewas not the exact same Product Name as what was in the DB.

For example the asset was showing Adobe XI but in the database it was Adobe 11.0.1 so this is why it was showing me as having zero install software.

Follow this article to solve that issue. You have the SQL query to run that will show what`s in the DB to get the right information.

Hi Frederick,

thanks for helping me out.. i am getting the below error

Invalid column name '%zip%'.

can you please help me to correct the same..

Run this against your DB (i use SQL management studio)

SELECT * FROM V_GS_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE WHERE ProductName0 LIKE %SQL%

This will give you the right name to enter in your license CSV file.

Make sure you read the entire article it tell you exactly what to do.

What report is the 1st screenshot from? No one has the eMClient 6 installed.

From your screenshot, you can see that the Pl* is not being inventoried.

Hi Frederick,

it's perfectly fitting for my requirement .. i did the same with your inputs but if placed with your query i am getting the same error.. instead of i executed with the below query and extracted the reports in .csv to get the correct display name..

SELECT * FROM V_GS_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE

with your help i got the exact counts in License 15A Report.. thanks for your help..

Hi Jones,

thanks for your involvement and help..

actually when i am checking in the asset intelligence> Inventoried software> able to see the eM Client installed count but i am not getting the details in License 15A Report even though i  have given the correct License Details.. meaning it's not getting the correct details from DB..

basically the display name problems from the DB to License 15 A Reports.. Frederick helped me to get the correct display name from the DB and placed the same in General License .CSV File to get the License 15A Reports...
