Library for Powerpoint Files
I have a lot of powerpoint files that I want to import into a library function so I can pick and choose which slides I need for new presentations.  Any advice as to set this up.  Might seem basic to this group however, its important to my function here trying to co-ordinate and organise hundreds of powerpoint files created from many users so far.  Thanks and appreciate the advice.

Hello,

You may create new document library and upload all files in this library. Later use "open with explorer" feature to upload all files in library.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/sharepoint-server-help/copy-or-move-library-files-by-using-open-with-explorer-HA101811182.aspx

Later refer this link to open file as slideshow:

Hope it could help

On top of Hemmendra's suggestion, you can also consider making use of the Slide Library.  As with normal libraries, you can customise this to your heart's content but this has a few nifty changes that make it worth investigating.

A good user created article on how it can be used is here https://www.nothingbutsharepoint.com/sites/eusp/pages/sharepoint-2010-slide-library.aspx

Hope that helps
