Last Modified timestamps do not change using web folders (WebDAV)
On our SharePoint 2007 SP1 farm, when certain files in document libraries are edited and saved, their "last modified" timestamp does not update properly. When viewed in IE "All Documents" view, the timestamp is correct, but when viewed in Explorer View or using web folders (WebDAV), the timestamp does not change. It remains the date & time of when the file was first uploaded. This occurs ONLY for certain files that were copied into the document library via drag & drop in web folders (WebDAV). It does NOT occur for any files that were uploaded using SharePoint's "Upload" operation in IE.It seems clear that SharePoint files have two different "last modified" timestamps that are not being kept in sync. Has anyone else seen this issue, and if so, did you manage to fix it?Installing SP2 did not help, though a Microsoft support rep claims that this is a bug fixed in SP2.Microsoft Support now theorizes that our site collections may be "corrupt" because they were created while a Microsoft bug was active, and we need to create all new site collections under SP2 and migrate our data into them. I'm wondering if anyone else hassolved this problem in a less heavy-handed way.

Hi, I am trying to find a fix for this one see this post also http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/22c73b99-cab9-423b-adef-f4d861d514cc?prof=required I really don't think this was addressed in SP2 as our farm was upgraded to SP2 before we created any site collections and we have this bug. We are running Server 2008 Rel2. Did you ever get a fix? Cheers Dave
