Last Modified in Comments field
Hi, I have a 'Comments' field in my list that is updated regularly by many users. For example, User A add the comment: Hello, The next day User B adds the comment: My name is and then the next day User C adds the comment: simon86. How can I keep a recording of all these comments so that all users know about the comments that have been recorded previously? The purpose of this is to generate a report that shows all the comments, and who made them: e.g. Comments Hello (User A) My name is (User B) simon86 (User C) ... Thanks.

If this is a list and not a library, you can add a column of type "Multiple lines of text" and click the "Append Changes to Existing Text" option. You also need to enable the Versioning option. The result will look something like this: Fred Jones (6/8/2010 7:57 PM): this is the fourth comment Bob Smith (6/8/2010 7:56 PM): this is the third comment Tom Allen (6/8/2010 7:56 PM): this is the second comment Susan West (6/8/2010 7:56 PM): this is the first comment Mike Smith TechTrainingNotes.blogspot.com
