Labels for exploded slice in 3D Pie Charts not customizable
I have created a 3D pie chart and am trying to customize the label for the CollectedStyle “SingleSlice” data under the CustomAttributes. This functionality worked very well in the first chart I created for this report. I create the first chart with the following configuration, CollectedLabel to ="#LEGENDTEXT" & vbcrlf & “myvaluefield” and CollectedLegendText to “mycustomlabel”. I then renamed the primary label under “Label” to ="#LEGENDTEXT" & vbcrlf & “myothercustomfield” and it works great. However, in the second chart for this report I am unable to get the changes to show up for the CollectedStyle CustomAttributes properly. To make matters worse when I configure the primary label it populates for the CollectedStyle label as well with the same information being used for the primary label. I decided to create an entirely different report without the special coding to include legend information in the data labels, however, now I am unable to get any pie chart to correctly label the data or the legend. When I type in the name for the primary data (DataPoint > Legend > Text > “mytext”) the legend shows “mytext” for both the primary data and CollectedSlice data. If I configure “UseValueAsLabel” I can at least get the correct data to show but the legend is still incorrect. I hope I did not confuse anyone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi mcornejo_1, We cannot format the secondary pie chart. For this reason, it is strongly recommended to use the first approach when collecting pie slices. Additionally, if you have any concern about this, please submit a feedback at http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope Microsoft improve this feature in the next service pack or product release. For more details about it, please see the following articles, How to: Collect Small Slices on a Pie Chart (Report Builder 3.0 and SSRS): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd207043.aspx If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Eileen
