Kinda from left field...and just for kicks...could you replace the STS in FIM with ADFS 2.0
Just wondering if anybody tried it and watched it blow up. Is there any reason why you couldn't?

STS is primarily used for Self-Service Password Reset.
1. if you have forgotten your AD password, you can't quite authenicate to AD FS
2. it simply won't work at protocol level
