KB 2502631 hotfix fails on CM DB upgrade
While updating a FIM 2010 (RTM) demo machine, the FIM Service, FIM Sync, Addins + extensions update went fine. But Update FIMCM_x64_KB2502631.msp fails (with status bar almost 100%) on the CM DB update. It's not possible to copy paste the text from the popup error window. The event viewer tells: Product: Forefront Identity Manager Certificate Management - Update 'FIM Certificate Management Hotfix KB 2502631' could not be installed. Error code 1603. Additional information is available in the log file C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\1\MSI53471.LOG. Error log: Error 1722. Cannot properly run a setup program to completion. Contact either your technical support group or your package vendor. Action UpgradeDatabase, location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Certificate Management\Bin\, command: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Certificate Management\Bin\Microsoft.Clm.Config.exe" /DB === Logging stopped: 8/04/2011 0:34:12 === After the first attempt, I manually added the colum ca_exit_module_version to the CertificateAuthority table (FIM CertificateManagement DB). But no change in the error. Anyone encountered this error before?
