When I installed the KB977384 Hotifx in my SCCM R3 in my environment as a pre-req, i allowed it to create the package for the hotifix. When i looked at the properties I saw that it was set to reboot after installation. YIKES -- I need to reboot my servers in order to apply a SCCM Client hotfix? I don't even need a system reboot to install the client to begin with. Do I really need to restart, or can i change this setting to "do nothing" after intsall? thanks.

Hi, It does not require a reboot, the reason for why the "Program Restarts Computer" setting is there is because the SCCM client service is restartet and without the setting that the program restarts the computer, SCCM would think that an Unexpected reboot has occured and always report failure on the installation.
