KB2881073 not applicable?

Hi everyone

I have a questions regarding KB2881073. This update is not missing according to WSUS and Microsoft Update. However, our patch management solution indicates that this update is missing and needs to be installed. I first thought it could be a false-positive but then I manually installed it without a problem. According to the KB article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2881073?wa=wsignin1.0), the prerequisite is Office 2010 SP2, so WSUS and Microsoft Update should offer this update to all our PCs but that's not the case. Any ideas why? Is anyone else seeing this?

Regards

Stefan

I too have noticed this same thing.   This morning I ran a Tenable Nessus scan and it said that our systems were missing the patch.  But when I search the WSUS for KB2881073 the WSUS said it is not needed / applied to my systems already.

I did notice that if I go to the MS site the update shows as 4/27/2015...strange.

Sounds like a detection logic issue with the update at Microsoft's end. Has anyone reported this to Microsoft via their TAM? Just a thought.

We don't have a TAM unfortunately.
