JBOSS 6 Discovery with SCOM 2012
Hi , I have no experience with previous versions of SCOM or any monitoring MS product so this might be trivial but i have no idea.. I have a JBOSS 6 running on a Windows Server 2008 , and a server which runs SCOM 2012.. My aim is to monitor my simple JMX application running in JBOSS with SCOM which i am able to monitor with JConsole or JBOSS JMX Console, What i did so far is: Installed Management Packs for JEEDiscovered the Windows Server which runs JBOSSCreated Roles and Profiles with Run as ... (as Administrator)Installed BeanSpy manually on my JBOSS ( and i think its not a must to get a JBOSS discovered ?)Checked "Allow this agent to act as proxy and discover managed objects on other computers" at the discovered Windows Server's properties under Agent Managed Status of my agent is Healthy yet i cant get it discover my JBOSS running at my Windows Server, when i try to add a Monitoring from the Management Pack Templates i.e JEE Application Performance Monitoring , I cant find a target application to choose... I read that it takes 4 hours to discover JBOSS? or multiple 4 hours, is there way to speed up the process? or is there something missing which i haven't done to get it discovered? All help will be appreciated! Thanks

Thanks for the pointer ! I have now discovered my JBoss manually using PowerShell scripts , I can see my application server at Deep Monitored Configurations yet i can't see any of my applications or my managed beans in that matter! http://localhost:8080/BeanSpy/Stats/info gives me the info about my JBOSS and all that as well , i couldn't query any of my applications though
