Item stuck in Conflicting Records
Hi all,We have our site setup to manually resolve conflicting records as we're in mixed mode.I've currently got an item stuck in the Conflicting Records area in the console. No matter how many times I try to merge it, it refuses to disappear. It's had numerous refreshes, the server has even had a restart since it's been stuck, yet it still persists. As there is no obvious right click, delete option, does anyone have any ideas on how to either:A) force a mergeB) Delete the record.Cheers,SBhttp://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS08-067.mspx If you don't ever patch anything, for god sake make sure this patch is on.......

Interesting. Was anything done on that machine that might be at the cause (restored from a backup, reimaged, etc.)?SCCM thinks you have some duplicate hardware ID's and is not able to merge them. Is it possible to doa delete special on those two records in the SCCM site database, then run a heartbeat discovery on the physical machine? Then check to see if the problem reappears? Are you seeing this on alot of machines? I dont have any conflicting records otherwise I'd validate this for you.Let me know.Matthew Tinney mtinney@windowsmanagementexperts.com www.windowsmanagementexperts.com (206) 778 4432

Hi Matt,This is the strange thing, nothing unusal has been done on that device (it's a laptop). It's the first and only time this has happened, normally records merge just fine.I can try a delete special on the original item, I'll try it on Monday, I've just been holding off deleteing it as I'm still currious as to what would cause this.Cheers,SBhttp://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS08-067.mspx If you don't ever patch anything, for god sake make sure this patch is on.......
