I have some issues with the software update point in ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 on Windows Server 2012. When I look at the WCM log, I often see this error coming back:

System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.~~   at Microsoft.UpdateServices.Administration.AdminProxy.CreateUpdateServer(Object[] args)~~   at Microsoft.SystemsManagementServer.WSUS.WSUSServer.ConnectToWSUSServer(String ServerName, Boolean UseSSL, Int32 PortNumber)    SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER    18-12-2012 21:56:36    3448 (0x0D78)

Remote configuration failed on WSUS Server.    SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER    18-12-2012 21:56:36    3448 (0x0D78)

Please help me fix this issue.

No proxy server, this are servers in my home-lab and have a direct connection to the internet.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
