Issues installing agent manually on another forest (whereas push installation works correctly)
Hey aavsec,
What Claus probably means are the client msi parameters used to install the SCCM client. Take a look here

SMSSLP should only be HOSTNAME, it is WINS so it isn't a FQDN...
Is the SMSSLP set up in WINS as shown here - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694195.aspxMy Microsoft Core Infrastructure & Systems Management blog -

Hello,
I am having troubles running SCCM agent on machine. I am installing it manually. The installation is successfull, but once the SCCM agent starts, there are many errors.
If i use SCCM to push the agent to this client, then it installs correctly and it runs correctly.
If I install the client manually on a machine in the same forest as the site server then it runs correctly.
I am using the following configuration
Server :
SCCM 2007 R3 SP1
Native mode
Forest A
Client
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Forest B
The certicates are correctly configured.
The client seems to be correctly assigned.
The parametres used to install the client manually are the following :
ccmsetup.exe SMSSITECODE=AUTO SMSSLP=SP01SCCM.domain.fr FSP=SP01SCCM.domain.fr
Here are the errors that I encounter in the different log files on the client:
Ccmexec.log
[CCMHTTP] HTTP ERROR: URL=http://SP01SCCM.domain.fr/ccm_system_windowsauth/request, Port=80, Protocol=http, SSLOptions=0, Code=0, Text=CCM_E_BAD_HTTP_STATUS_CODE

Pretty sure it's an install parameter issue.
Please paste in errors from ccmsetup.log
