Issues deploying multiple reports in SSRS's webserver
Hi, I have a project that produces 3 different reports, each of which is made of 3 subreports. I would like to deploy the 3 reports via the Report Server's web application, however, unless I deploy all subreports, the actual report I am after cannot be displayed. Another issue I am having is that I would like to password-protect each report so that people can only access the appropriate one via the reportser. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi Reds-Al, Based on your information, I think the subreports are not in the same project, so only after deploying all the subreports to the report server, can you display them on the main report, this is the normal phenomenon. You could click this FAQ: How do I preview a Subreport which is in another SSRS project to get detail information If you want each user who access the report must enter a user name and password to retrieve the data. Prompted credentials can be used on reports that run on demand. Prompted credentials can be a Windows account or a database login. To use Windows Authentication, you must select Use as Windows credentials when connecting to the data source. Otherwise, the report server passes credentials to the database server for user authentication. If the database server cannot authenticate the credentials that you provide, the connection will fail.
