Issues Using AD Universal Security Groups with Users from a Child Domain
We arerunning MOSS 2007 SP1. We use AD Universal Security Groups within SharePoint Groups for security. What I am finding is that any users included in the AD Universal Security Groups that are users from a Child Domain - the security permissions do nottake effectfor them, only the users in the parent domain (also the domain that the SharePoint farm sits in). So for example, the SharePoint Farm is in NAMERICA domain. NAMERICA is the parent domain and EUROPE is the child domain. There is a two way trust. The AD Universal Security Group NETWORK is in the NAMERICA domain and contains bot users from NAMERICA and EUROPE domains. When I add the NETWORK AD group to the SharePoint site the NAMERICA users are able to access the site, but not the EUROPE users. If I add the EUROPE users individually to the sitehowever, they gain acess to the site.Any ideas?

Hi Lily,It gives the typical"Access Denied" error as if I haven't given their AD account the proper permissions to that site collection. The error happens with multiple universal security groups. I'm not seeing any noticeable errors in the ULS logs relating to this issue. Thanks,Priscilla
