This is a new posted that stemmed from a post a couple days ago. Originally I thought it was a issue with Silverlight and 64 bit machines but that was not the case. The crux of the problem has to do with FQDN and specifying the port number.
On 64bit machines the only way the portal works is by using the NetBIOS name and the port number of either the AAM or the server,
For example: http://servicemanager:83/smportal/SitePages/Service%20Catalog.aspx works fine but http://servicemanager/smportal/SitePages/Service%20Catalog.aspx returns a blank page. Either one works just fine on a 32bit machine though.
