Issue with SharePoint 2013 Workflow

Hello,

I am having an issue with a SharePoint 2013 Workflow on SharePoint Designer. I can publish the workflow to the site with no problem. Once the workflow it is in the started stage, it always gets suspended at the same spot. I get the error message: "The property 'GUID' does not exist on type 'ListItem'. Make sure to only use property names that are defined by the type."

This error occurs when I create a list item. For the output clause the only variable type it will let me select is GUID. If I change the variable to a string or integer, it says there is an error. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you give the screenshot of workflow?

I can provide the screenshots as soon as I am verified. It says I can't include images until my account is verified here.

Hi feinch- this sounds like one of two things: you're trying to execute a workflow step before the item is physically made (thus it doesn't really exist yet) or you're working with managed metadata field(s) and the location you're trying to create the item in isn't matching the metadata. If it's the first case, pause your workflow to give SharePoint time to create the item. Of course these are just guesses based on your description and seeing the workflow will help with troubleshooting.

Rupesh, I made a more detailed post here: http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/151056/sharepoint-2013-workflow-issue-the-field-or-property-guid-does-not-exist

Sorry, I cannot include hyperlinks or images yet.

That definitely sounds like a good start for me to look into. I created a more detailed post here:

Sorry, I can not hyperlink or include images in this forum yet (something about being verified and I just made this account a couple hours ago).

Can you verify by removing the step of creating an item from the workflow, if it works.
