Issue with Active Directory System Discovery method in SCCM 2007 SP1
Hi, I have an Issue with Active Directory System Discovery method. During this process system are discovering in SCCM database but without AD Site name in resource explorer and those client are SCCM non clients. in resource explorer AD Site name, Domain Name, Active , and all necessary details are NULL, even IPSubnet details also NULL. It’s only showing system name and IP address and showing discovery agent is Active Directory System Discovery, other than no information. Due to this facing lot of problem, around 300 clients have such issue out of 12000 systems. Anybody please help me to get it resolved.

Thanks for your response….. I have found the solution for this, problem persists in my environment only due to Subnet mismatch issue and missing information in Subnet listing in AD. So I have initiated to make information correct in AS Site and services, and done some testing by adding same information for problematic systems subnet information in AD, now it's working. So for this problem solution is need to revalidation of all Subnet and it's listing information. But still I am confused for below points: help me to understand those 1. As per Microsoft process flow defined, when AD System discovery process runs it detect computer from AD container. 2. get IP by ping method from DNS. (ping hostname or ping FQDN). 3. by IP it's getting SUBNET details and AD Sites name from Domain controller. 4. By SUBNET details it is querying AD Site for AD Sites name information etc. so above mentioned process is mandatory (i.e. .....IP address, Subnet ID then AD Sites name is mandatory), than how it is discovering in SCCm database with out one of the above information. see the Active Directory System Discovery Flowchart (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb932137.aspx) Microsoft mentioned that Active directory Site name is mandatory. Let me know if anybody have any view on this.
