Hi All, We are facing issues while performing updates to lists/webparts etc. when using the public url for our moss production site. Basically we have 4 Front End Webservers (load balanced) If we try to perform any updates using the individual server url of a FEW everything works fine. However if we try to perform the same operation using the public url we receive different sorts of errors. Please find the errors below. 1. While trying to edit a document library view The url redirects to https://servername/SubsiteName/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?CS=65001 and throws error "Cannot complete this action. Please try again". 2. While trying to create a new document library-> "Unknown error" 3. When we click on the Rich text editor option for a content editor webpart -> "Cannot retrieve properties at this time". However we are not facing these errors in our pre production environment which is similar (2 front end webservers). Though a difference I can see is that our production site is SSL enabled where as pre production site is not. Please share your suggestions/solutions. ThanksAnisree

Hi All, I am also facing the same problem. I create a new doc lib it says a Unexpected error on the page - _layouts/new.aspx. This happens when i do this operation from public internet. ON LAN this operation is successful. I know that the Database is not READ-ONLY. Because i am able upload new documents and edit documents... Regards, Shakti Srivastavaa

Hello, We had the same error. Our farm sits behind a load balancer. The load balancer was forwarding 443 traffic to 80 on the WFEs. I found the following article on SSL and AAM - http://www.ableblue.com/blog/archive/2008/08/05/aam-and-ssl-termination-1.aspx It helped us with our issue. Maybe someone else can benefit too.
