Issue installing client
I am having issues getting the client installed on a number of machines. Instead of having a Repository directory in WBEM, there is a Repository_. What is the purpose of the underscore?Jed

Totally guessing here but that sounds like a backup or something. What error are you getting installing the client? John Marcum | http://www.TrueSec.com/en/Training.htm | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum

In the ccmsetup.log file I see a lot of WMI repository errors. Sometimes the client installs but a few days later, I see a repairmsi log file and it goes into a loop. I thought I read somewhere that the Repository_ meant something was corrupt on the machine. I have approx 50 machines with the same directory.Jed

Have you tried to repair WMI on one and see what happens? I find this method works best: net stop winmgmt Using Windows Explorer, rename the folder %windir%\System32\Wbem\Repository. (For example, %windir%\System32\Wbem\Repository_bad). %windir% represents the path to the Windows directory, which is typically C:\Windows . Switch to Command Prompt window, and type the following and press ENTER after each line: net start winmgmt EXIT John Marcum | http://www.TrueSec.com/en/Training.htm | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum

Hello --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We must search the registry as follows: Directory repository HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ WBEM \ CIMOM "Repository Directory" % systemroot% \ system32 \ wbem \ repository Once renamed, the repository directory is created fine. As against the client on this pc will not install I have another problem ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gruikgruik
