Issue in Software installation in Workgroup machine
I am using sccm 2007. the issue is none of my workgroup machine getting any software package. For test purpose what i did is, first i install fresh new OS and install the SCCM client. But it didn't install any package in 2 day. In server side its shows error msg downloading failed and it give reson (The program for advertisement "ABC2009E has failed because download of the content "ABC0005B" - "1" has failed. Possible cause: The content can not be found on the network, or the content could not be accessed, or the advertisement may have been marked not to run program when no local Distribution Point is available and this SMS client is in remote roaming boundaries of the site. Solution: Check to ensure this content has been made available on a distribution point. Check to ensure the access control list allows this program to be accessed. Check to make sure that the file system path for the content, including the path to the cache directory, is not greater than 255 characters. This operation will be retried. If this SMS client is expected to stay in remote roaming binderies then change the advertisement to allow running program from remote Distribution Point. ) I was supprise when i add the same machine to domain. i found that all the package is start installing in that machine withing min. Same thing is working fine for domain machine but not for workgroup machine. Please Suggest me...

Hi, Have you configured a Network access account in your SCCM site, that account will be used if the computer is not a member of the domain, when the computer is member of the domain the computer account is used that could explain why it works. regards, Jrgen-- My System Center blog ccmexec.com -- Twitter @ccmexec

Hi, Did you check if the clients work properly? You may try to repair or reinstall the clients to check if it helps. Regards, Sabrina
