Is there a way to export detailed performance data from SCE2010 to a spreadsheet?

The built in reports only gives me mimimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation on my performance data for my 2003 and 2008 servers.

I have need for collecting the all the data values and time stamps for each value and to put into Excel.  If the performance monitor is recording every 10 minutes, I want to put the value for each and every 10 minutes in a spreadsheet.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hello Raytrace,

By design, after a report has been created, you can export the report into one of several formats.

To export a report

  1. After a report has been rendered, click the File menu, point to Export, and then click the format to which you want to export the file.

  2. In the Save As dialog box, select the folder where you want to save the report, and then click Save.

Thanks,

Yeah, but those reports only give me the minimum, maximum, and average data.  I need the raw data.

OK, I was able to answer my own question after finding this link.

Creating your own Excel Reports from performance data collected by System Center Essentials

It provides a way to export the raw data so you can manipulate it for your own reports and statistical analysis.

Also, if your Essentials server isn't collecting performance data to begin with, take a look at this link as well.

Why are my Performance Graphs Empty in Essentials?

And a little side note here, when you run the actual reports you will not see graphs in your report is you are using SQL Express instead of a full blown version of SQL.
