Is safe to run the Cluster Validation Wizard in a production environment?

Hi,

I have a failover cluster running Windows 2012 and hosting a DC and an Exchange 2010. Both VMs are running Windows 2008 R2.

I have several errors in the event viewer. Some errors recommend running the Cluster Validation Wizard.

My question is:

Is safe to run the Cluster Validation Wizard in a production environment?

I don't want to lose or corrupt data.

Thanks in advanced.

Yes, it is safe to run the validation wizard in a production environment.

But you should know how the wizard works.  When you run the validation wizard, it will fail over the storage from one node to another.  This will cause a brief interruption in services dependent upon that disk.  Though that should not lose or corrupt data, you may not want the interruption.  Therefore, the wizard allows you to select which tests you want to run.  You can select to NOT run the disk tests.  Or, better, select to run disk tests, but only allow the disk test to run on the disk witness.
