Is it possible to change the location volume of the ConfigMgr Component Server?
Hi all, I have installed a SCCM server, and its database is sit on two SQL cluster nodes. On the cluster SQL nodes, the configmgr component server role is automatically installed on the largest free space volume other than volume C. Therefore, would like to know is there anyway to change the location to volume C? Refer to the link below for the screenshot on the volume path of the configmgr component server installed. http://cid-75e44d0edffe5025.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Public/ConfigMgr%5E_Component%5E_Server%5E_Location.jpg

Hi all, I have solved the problem listed above. Basically just modify the registry key in the SCCM server follow the steps below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Copy the directory from the shared drive to the local drive on my server that HAD been the active node, which now passive. 2. In the registry on my SCCM Server, tracked down - "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER\Multisite Component Servers\<name_of_ActiveSQLNode_during_installation>", and changed the Installation Directory from the shared drive to the local drive.
